East Pokot, in Baringo County, Kenya, is beautiful and fascinating yet full of complex challenges. This video follows the journey of a group of hopeful people who are trying to understand how to best help this community in a sustainable and empowering way.

Amidst the challenges of drought, famine, child marriages, FGM (Female Genital Mutilation), illiteracy, and lack of access to education, many community members are working for change. Voices of East Pokot exists to share their voices and explore ways that people can work together to see positive change. We are currently forming a network of partners who care about the people of East Pokot to launch a holistic education initiative.
