DRONE ACTIVATION – CHEMIST WAREHOUSE CONFERENCE
BACKGROUND:
Chemist Warehouse, known as ‘Australia’s Cheapest Chemist’ is one of Australia’s top 10 retailers, having over 400 stores across Australia.
The 2019 Chemist Warehouse supplier conference was nothing short of spectacular. With over 1000 guests including big labels and suppliers, Eddie McGuire and Luke Darcy hosting the event and a special guest appearance from Delta Goodrem, who put on an incredible performance.
The event aimed to showcase the future of retail with the catchy theme ‘To Infinity and Beyond’. Upon entering the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre, movement, lights, and tech ‘wowed’ the crowds with fun interactive activations such as a hologram virtual assistant, football Virtual Reality games set up by Future labs and a demo store display showcasing their latest tech amongst the products.
VISUAL SOLUTIONS:
UAVisuals worked with Drones for Hire (a marketplace for finding licenced drone operators across Australia) to execute the largest display at the event! This drone delivery activation was demonstrated inside a 10×8 meter safety net. The display intended to wow the crowds and tease them with the exciting suggestion of chemist warehouse deliveries being completed by drones in the future.
Using a large industrial grade inspection drone, UAVisuals and Drones for Hire engineered the aircraft to carry a chemist warehouse branded box to simulate the look of a futuristic drone delivery. The display was a huge success, with the exciting and innovative suggestion of drone-delivered packages being well-received by all.
